Common questions

How do I connect my AWS, GCP, or Azure account?

From the Connections tab in the app, pick your cloud provider and follow the in-app guide — it walks you through creating a read-only IAM role (AWS), service account (GCP), or app registration (Azure) with only billing/cost-read permissions. Nothing you grant can launch, stop, or modify anything in your account.

I forgot my password — what do I do?

Click "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter your email — a reset link arrives within a minute or two. The link expires after an hour; request a new one if it's timed out.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Open the Connections tab and use "Manage billing" — that opens Stripe's Customer Portal, where you can cancel, update your card, or view invoices. Cancelling keeps Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

How do I delete my account and data?

The Connections tab has a "Danger zone" panel — confirm your password and type DELETE to permanently remove your account and every table's worth of data tied to it: connections, cost history, recommendations, budgets, alert channels. This can't be undone, and doesn't require emailing us first.

My connection shows an error, or hasn't synced recently — what should I check?

A banner on your Dashboard flags any connection that's failed or gone quiet for 48+ hours, with the specific error underneath. The most common cause is a credential that's since been revoked or a role/policy that's changed on the cloud provider's side — the Connections tab lets you re-enter credentials or trigger "Sync now" without waiting for tomorrow's automatic sync.

Can I export my data?

Yes — the Dashboard and Explorer both have "Export CSV" and "Export summary" buttons next to the date range picker. The CSV is a per-date/provider/account/service breakdown; the summary is a plain-text one-pager suitable for pasting into an email.

How do I get Slack or Microsoft Teams alerts?

The Alerts tab (Pro plan) lets you add a Slack or Teams incoming webhook and set a monthly budget ceiling — you'll get notified at 80% and again if you go over, plus whenever the anomaly detector flags a spend spike.
